Protest Rally Held in Sabroom Against Attacks on Media in Bangladesh

Recent incidents of continuous attacks on media organizations in Bangladesh have raised serious concerns over press freedom and the safety of journalists. Acts of vandalism and arson at the offices of the country’s leading daily newspapers Prothom Alo and The Daily Star in Dhaka disrupted printing operations and put the lives of employees at risk.

Domestic and international human rights and journalist organizations have strongly condemned these attacks and demanded swift justice for those responsible. Although the administration has arrested a few individuals in connection with the incidents, concerns over overall security remain.

In protest against these attacks, the Sabroom Press Club of South Tripura organized a protest rally in Sabroom town today. The rally demanded an immediate end to attacks on media institutions and strict punishment for the perpetrators.

Blankets Distributed at New Gumti Village Council Under Karbook Mandal

In a compassionate initiative aimed at supporting vulnerable families during the winter season, a blanket distribution programme was organised today at New Gumti Village Council under Karbook Mandal. The event was held under the guidance of BJP Karbook Mandal President Mr. Ashim Tripura, who has been actively involved in various social-welfare activities in the region.

A large number of local residents, including elders, women, and economically weaker households, gathered at the venue to receive winter essentials. Volunteers and party workers assisted in the smooth distribution of blankets, ensuring that every beneficiary received the required support.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Ashim Tripura highlighted the importance of community outreach during the colder months and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to welfare activities at the grassroots level. He also thanked the residents of New Gumti for their cooperation and urged everyone to stay united for the overall development of the Karbook area.
