Karbook, Tripura – The road connecting Jalaya Bazar TSR Camp to Patichari VC Jadop Para is in a severely damaged condition, causing extreme hardship for commuters. The deteriorated state of the road has raised serious concerns, with locals fearing that even pregnant women may face health risks due to the bumpy ride.
Speaking on the issue, social worker Dharjaray Tripura assured that the road will soon be repaired as the World Bank is set to finance the project. Meanwhile, Karbook PWD SDO Goutam confirmed that the government had initially planned to invite tenders for the project in March 2025. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the tender process could not be initiated.
Authorities are now hopeful that within the next one or two months, the Public Works Department (PWD) will issue a fresh tender for the road’s repair and reconstruction. Residents of the area have been urging the government to expedite the process, as the road is a crucial link for daily travel, medical emergencies, and transportation of goods.
