Public Outrage in Karbook Over Three-Day Power Outage in Shilachari

Shilachari: Residents of Karbook, Gomati Tripura, under the Shilachari RD Block, have expressed strong anger and frustration due to a complete power outage lasting three consecutive days. The affected area, particularly the Ghorakappa, Kaptoli, chelakappa also many more place has been suffering without electricity, impacting daily life, communication, education, and essential services. 

According to local sources, when members of the public visited the Shilachari Electricity Sector Office, they were shocked to find no staff or engineers present. People have reported that they tried their best to inform the office about the situation and requested urgent action. However, instead of receiving help, they were told by the office staff that the repair may take another five days, which has only fueled the community’s anger.

Locals are demanding immediate attention to the issue, emphasizing that in a time when India is rapidly moving towards digital advancement, electricity is no longer a luxury but a basic necessity. The public believes that such negligence is unacceptable, especially in rural areas where access to resources is already limited. They are urging higher authorities to intervene and ensure that such situations are not repeated in the future.
