Karbook: After watching the video about the upcoming college in Karbook, I felt deeply moved. As a common citizen of this subdivision, I sincerely thank the Government of Tripura and all those involved in making this effort a success.

Today, at Nagerjala Bus Stand in Agartala, I had a conversation with a girl from Karbook. She had been studying Kokborok Honours for a year at Agartala Women’s College. I came to know that she was returning home with all her belongings. I asked her why she was leaving.
She replied, “Grandfather, my parents are not financially capable of supporting my studies anymore.” She then added, “I heard that a college will be opening in Karbook this year. If it does, I will continue my education there.”

Her words touched me deeply. After a while, I watched the video again and felt a renewed sense of hope. I told her, “Your fortune has changed — you’ll now be able to study in Karbook.”
Because of your collective efforts, many children from poor families will be saved from giving up their education. This is truly one of the most meaningful contributions to society. It’s a great achievement.
