IPFT Shows Massive Strength at Karbook After Long Silence

After a long period of political silence in Karbook, the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) today made a powerful comeback, surprising both supporters and rival parties alike. Thousands of IPFT supporters gathered at Karbook in a massive show of strength, with dust rising from the field as the crowd swelled—visibly reflecting the party’s renewed momentum in the region.

During the mass gathering, several serious issues were discussed, most notably alleged corruption involving the Karbook Tipra Motha leadership in the name of Bubagra Pradyot. Speakers highlighted the Karbook Rubber Smoke House project, sanctioned with a total budget of ₹75 lakh. It was alleged that although ₹50 lakh has already been spent, there is virtually no development on the ground, with only a four-foot structure reportedly constructed so far.

Concerns were also raised regarding the Tirthamukh Guest House project, where the contractor is allegedly missing, leaving the project incomplete and unanswered questions surrounding the utilization of public funds.

The gathering concluded with a major political development as 106 families, comprising 252 voters from different political parties, formally joined the IPFT. The new members were warmly received by senior IPFT leaders, including Minister Sukla Charan Tripura, former MLA Sindur Charan Tripura, Karbook RD Block Vice Chairman Pranab Tripura, along with several top IPFT leaders.

The event marked a significant political statement from IPFT in Karbook, signaling a resurgence of grassroots support and intensifying the political atmosphere in the region.
