Kyiv has significantly intensified its long-range strike campaign against Russian domestic targets, targeting vital energy and logistics centers feeding the Russian military. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the successful deployment of long-range drones and missiles against the Moscow region, calling the hit on the Kapotnya refinery a direct blow to the financial and logistical assets that sustain Moscow's war effort.

Ukrainian military officials reported that three primary units were damaged at the Moscow Oil Refinery, a facility responsible for supplying over a third of the capital region's fuel, including military petrol and aviation supplies. In addition to the refinery, strikes were reported at a logistics tech park in Sofyino.
Ukraine's Defense Ministry emphasized that targeting high-value infrastructure directly undermines the opponent's capacity to maintain frontline supply lines. Military analysts note that as both sides escalate deep-range operations, Ukraine's strategy increasingly relies on hitting critical economic nodes deep inside Russian territory to weaken supply networks and strain domestic defense capacity.
