Agartala: The Indigenous Women’s Federation of Tripura (IWFT) is set to host its first-ever Raijya Sanmilon at Bhagat Singh Hall, Agartala, on April 12, 2025. The historic event is expected to witness a gathering of 250 to 300 or more participants, marking a significant milestone for the indigenous women's movement in the state.

IWFT President Jushuda Rani Jamatia stated that the event is being organized with the support of IPFT, YIPFT, ATISA, and IMWU. She emphasized that the Sanmilon will serve as a platform to discuss key issues affecting indigenous communities,
The meeting will bring together community leaders, activists, and representatives from various organizations to deliberate on policies and initiatives aimed at strengthening indigenous rights. Discussions will also focus on challenges faced by indigenous women in areas such as education, employment, and healthcare.
The IWFT hopes that this event will pave the way for stronger advocacy and policy interventions. The participation of different indigenous organizations highlights a collective effort towards empowerment and progress. With growing anticipation, the Raijya Sanmilon is expected to be a landmark event in Tripura’s indigenous movement.
