TTAADC Chief Presents ₹1840 Crore Budget for 2025-26

Agartala: In the ongoing Budget Session, Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) Chief Executive Member Purna Chandra Jamatia presented the proposed ₹1840 crore budget for the Financial Year 2025-26, focusing on development, employment, and welfare. The budget aims to strengthen and uplift the Tripura tribal communities through strategic allocations.

A significant 60% of the budget is dedicated to developmental projects, ensuring infrastructure growth, better connectivity, and improved social welfare schemes. 34% is allocated for salaries, recruitment, and administrative expenses, ensuring efficient governance and service delivery. Additionally, 6% is set aside for pension benefits, addressing the needs of retired employees.  

During his budget speech, Jamatia emphasized that these allocations reflect the council's commitment to holistic growth and improving livelihoods in Tripura Tribal Areas. But the State Government has provided an additional ₹169.82 crore to TTAADC over the initial budget provision. In 2025-26, the State Government’s total financial support to TTAADC will amount to ₹860.28 crore, further strengthening development efforts.
