Karbook, Tripura – A road construction project at Patichari Golmani Para under the Karbook sub-division has come under serious public scrutiny. Locals allege large-scale corruption involving ₹4.5 lakh approximate reportedly exchanged under the table between the executing agency, and the 43 top Leaders, according to undisclosed sources.
Despite initial visits by local residents, no visible improvements have been observed on the ground. The construction work is reportedly of extremely poor quality, prompting renewed public outcry. Complaints were verbally conveyed to PWD SDO Goutam, but no official action or response has followed.

On revisiting the site today, locals expressed frustration over the lackluster work and raised strong demands to immediately halt construction and initiate a full-scale investigation into the matter. The public is urging authorities to ensure transparency and accountability, fearing that the ongoing negligence could severely impact local infrastructure and community welfare.
