Karbook, Tripura – Residents of Hajachari village under Shilachari RD Block in Karbook subdivision staged a road blockade on the Ghorakappa-Karbook route, demanding access to basic amenities. The protest centered on the lack of drinking water, electricity, and long-pending MGNREGA wages. During the blockade, even patients heading to hospitals
were not allowed to cross the road, causing serious disruption. Protesters expressed frustration over years of neglect and criticized the government’s "triple-engine development" slogan as meaningless in their reality. Locals demanded urgent intervention and fulfillment of their basic rights.
