Karbook, Tripura – Fresh allegations have surfaced regarding substandard construction work on the PWD road and bridge from between Sharat Bikash to Jalaya Bazar. As per official records, the project tender was awarded to Purish Shil; however, locals allege that the actual execution was done by Rajen Reang. The work was reportedly completed in a rushed manner, raising serious concerns among residents and community leader Mr. Subiya Tripura.

Mr. Tripura stated that both the road and the bridge were poorly constructed and are already showing early signs of damage. “This work won’t survive the first heavy rain. The bridge side is already weakening,” he warned.

Villagers are demanding a full investigation into the matter, citing a lack of transparency and poor oversight. The incident has intensified public frustration over repeated cases of low-quality infrastructure projects under government schemes in the Karbook subdivision.
