Bold Theft at Kanchanmala Water Pump House Sparks Public Outcry

Golaghati, Tripura | In a daring act of theft under the cover of night, a government-operated water pump house near Kanchanmala SB School, under the Golaghati Assembly Constituency, was broken into by unidentified miscreants late Saturday. The thieves looted valuable machinery worth ₹50,000–₹60,000, including two newly installed water filtration machines and essential electric wiring.

According to sources, Deepak Roy, the local pump operator, had shut down the pump as usual and locked the facility before leaving for home. However, late at night, a gang reportedly inebriated, smashed the lock and stole critical government equipment
