Political Tension Escalates in Jampuijala After BJP Workers Attacked; Tipra Motha Allegedly Involved

After the political unrest in Asaram Bari, fresh tensions erupted in Jampuijala as BJP workers were allegedly attacked during a market meeting organized by the party on Thursday afternoon.

The situation turned chaotic when suspected Tipra Motha Party workers stormed the gathering, assaulting several BJP members. The attack led to injuries among party workers, many of whom have been hospitalized and are currently undergoing treatment.

The incident created panic and intense unrest across the Jampuijala market area, prompting immediate police intervention to bring the situation under control. BJP leaders, including State General Secretary Bipin Debbarma and Mandal President Nirmal Debbarma, were present at the venue when the violence broke out.

BJP has accused Tipra Motha, an ally of the ruling coalition, of orchestrating the attack. Local residents and eyewitnesses report that the violence appeared premeditated, targeting the BJP’s political activities in the region. Tensions now remain high in Jampuijala, with the possibility of further clashes if authorities fail to de-escalate the situation.

This fresh episode of violence has added to the political instability in the tribal belt of Tripura, raising questions about law and order, especially in areas dominated by regional political players.
