Karbook, Aug 25: For the first time, Karbook Cluster Activity organized an Awareness Camp on drug addiction and child marriage at Sir Chandra HS School today.

The program witnessed the presence of several distinguished members including SDMO Dhan Manik Tripura, SDPO Gamanjoy Reang, Headmaster of Sir Chandra HS School along with the staff, representatives from the SHG Department, Karbook CLF and OB, CLF EC members, and DRP Ratna Dey Saha. Local Resource Persons (LRPs) and social activities and panchayat secretary were also actively involved.

A total of 195 participants attended the camp, making it a remarkable success. To make the program more engaging and acceptable to the audience, the LRP team staged a drama on drug abuse, mobile addiction, and child marriage. The performance added a touch of entertainment while powerfully delivering the important social messages.
The event marked a significant step towards spreading awareness among the youth and community members about the harmful effects of drugs and early marriages.
