Khowai, Tripura – In a significant step to support the farming community, the Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department of Khowai Subdivision organized a free distribution of agricultural machinery to local farmers on Friday afternoon.
The distribution program was graced by several dignitaries, including Khowai Zilla Parishad member Anukul Das, Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Tinku Bhattacharya, Panchayat Samiti Vice-Chairman Uttam Adhikari, and departmental official Pradyut Dey, among others.
Speaking at the event, Anukul Das and Chairperson Tinku Bhattacharya emphasized the crucial role of farmers in the nation. They stated, "Farmers are the true providers of food for our country. Their development directly contributes to our progress. It is difficult to build a prosperous society without their inclusion."
The initiative aimed to boost agricultural productivity and reduce the manual burden on farmers by providing them with modern tools and machinery at no cost. The event was well-received by the local farming community, who expressed gratitude for the much-needed support.
