The route, which is a key lifeline for travelers and the military alike, has been severely affected by continuous rainfall over the past few days. The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has been pressed into immediate service and is working tirelessly, even at night, to clear the Tawang route and restore connectivity.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein have expressed concern over the situation and are closely monitoring rescue and clearance operations. The BRO has assured that all necessary manpower and machinery have been deployed to ensure traffic movement resumes at the earliest.

Frequent landslides during the monsoon season continue to pose a grave risk to travelers and vehicles in the hilly terrains of Arunachal Pradesh. Authorities have urged commuters to exercise caution while traveling on landslide-prone routes.
