Alotola S.B. School Faces Education Concerns; Locals Seek Administrative Intervention

Karbook, Gomati, Tripura, August 29, 2026: Concerns over the functioning of Alotola S.B. School in Patichhari ADC Village under Karbook Sub-Division have prompted local residents and the School Management Committee (SMC) to seek the attention of the Education Department and local administration.

According to complaints raised by locals and students, regular classroom teaching at the school has allegedly been affected by a shortage of teachers and other official responsibilities. Some students have also alleged that mobile phones are being used by certain teachers during school hours, raising concerns over classroom discipline and the quality of teaching.

An allegation has also been raised against teacher Aktar Hossain, who students claim was using a mobile phone for personal business-related activities during school hours. However, the allegation has not been independently verified, and no official document or conclusive evidence supporting the claim has been made public so far.

Local residents have further raised concerns regarding alleged favoritism involving Tapas Pal and administrative issues allegedly associated with Ranjit Debbarma. There are also local complaints alleging inappropriate behavior and physical treatment of students. These allegations remain unverified and would require an impartial inquiry by the competent authorities before any conclusion can be reached.

Speaking about the situation, Head Teacher Jagadish Marak said that teachers are currently handling several government-related responsibilities. He pointed out that reports such as GP, EP, FP and PP are required to be submitted by August 31, adding to the workload of the existing staff.

The Head Teacher also acknowledged the shortage of teachers at the school and said that the limited staff are facing additional responsibilities. He expressed his commitment to providing quality education but stressed the need for greater government support and adequate teaching staff.

Meanwhile, the SMC committee and local residents have urged the Education Department and administration to assess the school's academic activities, ensure that regular classes continue after the mid-day meal, examine the complaints raised by students and residents, and take appropriate steps to resolve the teacher shortage.
