DGP's Visit to Khowai: High-Level Meeting on Law and Order

A significant high-level meeting was held today in Khowai district regarding the law and order situation and the anti-drug campaign. The meeting took place at the office of the Superintendent of Police (SP), Khowai, and was attended by the Director General of Police (DGP) of the state, Anurag Dhankhar. 

The DGP arrived at the SP office around 11 AM, where he was welcomed by the Superintendent of Police. Subsequently, a meeting on law and order was held in the conference hall of the SP office.

Present at the meeting were DIG Rati Ranjan Debnath, Khowai District SP Ranadip Das, Sub-Divisional Police Officers of the district, Officers-in-Charge (OCs) of various police stations, and senior officials from other security agencies.

Speaking to the press, DGP Anurag Dhankhar mentioned that this was his first visit to Khowai district as the DGP. He stated that the primary objective of the visit was to outline and implement ground-level strategies to realize the Chief Minister's vision of a drug-free Tripura.

He further noted that currently, over 30% of the accused in the state are being convicted, which is a positive sign. During his visit, the DGP will also meet with personnel of the 6th and 12th battalions of the Tripura State Rifles (TSR).
