GRP Officer Subodh Debbarma Creates Ruckus at Bishalgarh Railway Station in Inebriated State; Accused of Misbehaving with Woman Constable

A shocking incident unfolded at Bishalgarh Railway Station on Thursday as Subodh Debbarma, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the Bishalgarh GRP (Government Railway Police) station, was allegedly found in an intoxicated state while on duty and created chaos in the station premises.

According to reports, Subodh Debbarma not only behaved inappropriately with a female constable but also attempted to hurl stones at journalists who arrived at the scene to cover the incident. Eyewitnesses and railway passengers were stunned by the OC's behavior, leading to strong public condemnation. Locals gathered at the station demanded strict disciplinary action against the officer for his irresponsible and disgraceful conduct.

Speaking to the media, the on-duty female constable alleged that this was not the first time the OC had acted inappropriately—he frequently misbehaved with female staff even during duty hours. The situation has raised serious concerns regarding the safety and discipline of GRP personnel stationed at the railway station.

Residents have questioned the accountability of the authorities: “If such an incident occurs at the railway station, who will be held responsible?” The demand for the immediate suspension and legal action against OC Subodh Debbarma is gaining momentum among the local community.
