Karbook, Tripura | July 21, 2025 — A wave of deep sorrow has swept through the Tripuri community with the passing of Ex-Pomang Rebanto Tripura, a proud and fearless warrior of the Tripura Chubalai Buthop (TCB) from Twima Moyal village under Karbook Subdivision. He breathed his last on July 21st, 2025 at 7:29 PM at his residence, leaving behind a legacy of honor, strength, and unwavering service. funeral will be done on tomorrow 22 July 25 around 12 noon.
Rebanto Tripura served his people as a Pomang for three dedicated years, a highly respected role within the TCB — even greater than the title of village Rwaja in terms of responsibility and discipline. His life was one of sacrifice and commitment to justice, cultural preservation, and the welfare of his community.
Locals remember him as a man of strong principles, a guardian of Tiprasa traditions, and a source of guidance during times of conflict and peace. His wisdom, courage, and leadership earned him the love and admiration of all.

As news of his passing spread, the entire Twima Moyal and Karbook region was struck with grief. Villagers gathered to offer condolences, light lamps, and recall his contributions with great respect. His final rites will be performed with traditional honors, surrounded by his loved ones and community members.
Today, the hills of Tripura bow their heads to mourn the loss of one of their bravest.
